The scale is my friend....

....sometimes.  Let's just say it's an OCD problem that I can't stay off of the scale every morning now.  But it has been good for me because it helps me keep better tabs on what I am doing during the day.  I have made it a point to get up and workout every morning this week (GO ME!) and up until this morning it was really paying off!  Somehow from yesterday morning's weigh in and today I gained two pounds.  This is completely impossible because yesterday for breakfast I had yogurt, Kashi, and a banana.  For lunch I had a cucumber salad and a small portion of cheese and low cal crackers.  For dinner I had a lot of veggies in spaghetti sauce and 3oz of sausage.  So there is no way that could have been over 4000 calories.

For this reason I will be using my weigh YESTERDAY because it ROCKED!  I FINALLY hit below 220!  And it felt SO good.  My new goal is 215 or less before the middle of next week.  I am really shooting to get it before next Saturday and I think if I keep working out, my metabolism will speed up and help this out! 

So for now I will just keep on trucking with everything that I'm doing!

Challenges

Oh has this week ever been full of them!  This was the first full week back to school since Christmas break.  And it whooped my butt.  So needless to say, there were quite a few challenges with losing weight this week.  First of all, I didn't even set foot on the elliptical ALL WEEK.  Then I just had a break down food-wise in the middle and inhaled a whole bag of candy...something I truly regretted later because it made me feel like CRAP!  So this coming week WILL be better.  I had really wanted to be below 220 by weighin this week but I had a really hard time with that.  So I am going to reset that goal again for this week, PLUS another pound to put me at 219.  This will be no problem, should I actually get up on time and get on the elliptical in the am!  Wish me luck!

See I told you I would have a hard time keeping up with this thing!

So anyway, we are back from Christmas break at school this week. Hence the reason you haven't heard from me.  Or I guess hence the reason I haven't heard from me (since I'm the only one who reads this blog!)  HA! 

Things are still going pretty good.  It is a bit more of a struggle to keep on the eating healthy thing at school but I am still plugging away.  This past week I also started doing the elliptical for 20 minutes in the morning.  It is a STRUGGLE to get up earlier to do that but I always feel better after I finish.  In addition that I also add walking during my planning period and once I even went to the stadium and did the stairs!  My legs hated me after that! 

Results?  Awesomeness!
I am now down to 223.4!  Which of course motivates me to keep going!  I am only about a week away from being under 220 and I want to see that SOOOOO badly I can taste it!  But for now, I must go taste some yogurt and Kashi..mmmmmm.
